Deviation Actions
That is the working title of a story that's been on the back burner since pretty much my first month here on dA. The premise of the story is pretty simple: Tina comes to Felarya, and turns it into a living hell that even demons would consider inhospitable. In retaliation, Fel must unite the powers of Felaray, many of whom have made no secret of their hatred for him, against the much greater threat.
I've been working on numerous ideas for this massive story for years, but the most I've ever finished is "The Poor Dryad" lordmep.deviantart.com/art/The… and that was forever ago. Fortunately, this week I was blessed with a bit of inspiration which has finally allowed me to complete part 1 and a decent portion of part 2. However, there's still a big hindrance to deal with. Ya see, "The Felarya that Never Happened" can't really happen as I imagine until a butt ton of other stuff happens in both Fel's and Tina's stories. Anyone who still remembers my original Fel and Tina stories is probably as frustrated as I am that I haven't updated it in years. Sorry, but I just haven't felt that flavor of spark.
The reason I post this is because I'd like to hear your opinions. Would you like me to post part 1 and eventually 2, knowing full well that it will end on a cliffhanger which won't be satisfied for years to come, or should I take the time to finish up Fel's and Tina's stories, even though I'm kinda focused on Marvelous Island at the moment. Also, these first two parts don't really require any background knowledge and should be pretty easy for newcommers to jump in.

Who thinks their phones are listening to them?
I can't be the only one to notice this. So, a few weeks ago, I was talking with my dad about looking for a job in a particular field while my phone is nearby, and ads for that job start appearing on my phone for the next few weeks. Little things like this happen way too often to be a coincidence. Likewise, my laptop is old, but I'm holding off on upgrading to get as much use out of this one as possible. Also, it irks me that Microsoft Word is now a subscription and not a simple purchase. I said all of this to my dad last night, and this morning, turning on my laptop had some funky results. I had to reboot it twice, and Microsoft Word acted like it was freshly downloaded. All my files were thankfully safe, but my presets were gone, and the new formats were a little offputting. Again, my phone was nearby during this conversation. Am I paranoid, or have other people also noticed this?
Gigantic Canceled
I came up with this a while ago, but I figured it was worth it to share my thoughts. As some of you may know, Disney planned on releasing an interpretation of Jack and the Beanstalk called Gigantic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-zFdZ_D-wI&t=6s Unfortunately, it was canceled in 2017, and I think I know why. You see, Zootopia is a furry movie. No, I don’t care to hear arguments to the contrary. Zootopia checks all the boxes, and appeals pretty blatantly to furries in a way that’s still family-friendly. Now, certain artistic and business decisions aside, Disney isn’t stupid. They know the internet exists. They know that Rule 34 (if it exists, there’s porn for it) is a thing. I strongly believe that in the preproduction phase of Zootopia, a team of creators, marketers, executives, etc. all gathered for a closed-door conference on the porn that would inevitably come from a movie about anthro (humanized animals) characters. How do I hide stories?
I know that I've asked this before, but that was before the site got jacked up. There used to be a way to hide deviations without deleting them. Does that function still exist?

Being the master of starting things, promising progress, and then moving on to eleven other projects at once, I'm probably not the best person to weigh in here. That said, I'd say go for it. Worst case scenario is that people like it and can't have more.
